Methodology and coverage
Understand the information behind your routine.
StackMyMed brings product information and daily organisation together. A scanned label, a saved schedule and an interaction result are different kinds of information. This page explains how to read them without confusing one for another.
Label information needs your review
AI-assisted scanning extracts information from product photos. Lighting, image quality, packaging and ambiguous print can affect the result. Review the product name, ingredients, strength, serving details and directions against the original packaging before relying on the saved record.
A well-presented result is not proof that every field is correct. We do not publish a validated universal extraction-accuracy percentage. See the label-scanning workflow.
A schedule records a plan
You can set product reminder times manually. A saved time organises the plan you intend to follow; it does not establish that a dose, combination or timing choice is medically appropriate. Use product instructions and advice from a qualified healthcare professional when deciding the plan.
Keep products you actually schedule distinct from products merely stored in the cabinet. This reminder worksheet helps organise those details.
Read interaction results with their limits
The public app provides interaction and warning context with source references when available. Open the references attached to a result to see what supports it. The app is not a comprehensive guarantee covering every medication, supplement, ingredient, dose or personal circumstance.
- A known warning: information has been found that warrants attention. Review the source and raise relevant questions with your pharmacist or clinician.
- No interaction data found: the consulted sources did not return information for that check. This does not establish that the combination is safe.
- Information unavailable: a result could not be obtained. Treat the check as unavailable, not complete.
These distinctions are reflected in the public app's release information. Our interaction-checker page describes the workflow.
Sources and updates
Our privacy policy identifies Gemini for label extraction and Perplexity for product and source-context enrichment, alongside the services that operate the app. Naming an AI provider does not validate a medical claim. The relevant evidence is the source attached to a particular result.
Source availability and returned information can change. We do not promise that every result contains the latest research, that all warnings are known, or that a lack of a warning establishes compatibility. This page describes interpretation and scope; it is not a clinical validation study.
